Why do I paint Butterflies and Moths? Because these are real works of art that nature has created. They captivate with an unusual combination of colors and patterns, delicate design or strong, often mysterious in their expression; they were and are a great inspiration to artists, poets and architects from all over the world.
I invite You to discover Butterflies and Moths from all over the world with me. Let them inspire You to create Your place that You love.

The symbol of my collection is the extraordinary Ornithoptera Alexandrae, the largest butterfly in the world, with a wingspan of up to 28 cm. This extremely rare butterfly can only be found in New Guinea. It is under strict protection.

Calephelis Virginiensis lives in the United States and is one of the smallest and most beautiful butterflies in this part of the world. The wings vary in color from rusty orange, through orange-red, to orange-brown with characteristic metallic-silver lines on the wings, which gave the entire family of these butterflies the name „metalmark”. The wingspan is 1.2 to 2.5 cm.
