This week, I present a North American beauty. Calephelis virginiensis lives in the United States and is one of the smallest and most beautiful butterflies in this part of the world. The wings vary in color from rusty orange, through orange-red, to orange-brown with characteristic metallic-silver lines on the wings, which gave the entire family of these butterflies the name „metalmark”. The wingspan is 1.2 to 2.5 cm.
